Unspoken expectations often shape our relationships, work, and well-being—creating stress, burnout, and miscommunication. This workshop helps you uncover hidden pressures, communicate needs clearly, and set healthy boundaries. Through discussions, reflection, and real-world scenarios, you’ll gain tools to break free from unrealistic demands and build clarity, stronger connections, and greater productivity.
About our speaker:
Don Williams is a nationally recognized speaker and author dedicated to True Restoration, Mind Transformation, and Personal Elevation. With 21 years of experience and a powerful journey from incarceration to inspiration, he empowers individuals, especially justice-impacted citizens, to unlock potential and live purpose-driven lives. Don partners with organizations on second-chance hiring and equips people with tools for positive choices, meaningful work, and community impact. Thank you for your interest in attending a SHRM Spartanburg. We are excited to meet you and hope the meeting offers knowledge and fellowship.
SHRM Spartanburg is a local chapter affiliate of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) chapter. We are a dual membership chapter.
To attend a meeting, please pre-register as either utilizing one of the ticket options. This allows us to properly plan for meals, speaker and room setup, etc.
- The Student and Retiree rate is $20 per meeting/meal
- The Non-Member rate is $30 per meeting/meal
If a meeting is provided at no cost, you will still need to register; however there will not be an associated cost to your ticket.
Please note: Most meetings offer one (1) hour SHRM and HRCI credit toward continuing education requirements.

SOLICITATION POLICY
There shall be no solicitation, either orally or through printed material, during SHRM Spartanburg meetings or social hour except for the social and meeting sponsor(s) hosting the specific meeting. No member may use the SHRM Spartanburg Membership Directory for purposes of solicitation or providing information about their organization. Members determined to be soliciting by a Board of Directors investigation will be subject to administrative action up to and including expulsion from membership without a refund of dues. There is no re-application period for expelled members.
